Support Our Scholarship Program
The Mount Diablo Section of SWE is asking for contributions for our Scholarship Fund. Since 1984, our section has given scholarships to deserving young women entering an accredited engineering program. Our goal this year is to give at least two $1000 scholarships. We can only accomplish this with your support. Please encourage your company to support our program also. These scholarships make a difference to our future women engineers.

Please send your tax deductible donation to the address below. Make checks payable to Mount Diablo SWE Scholarship Fund.

Judging
We will also need help judging the scholarship applications to determine the winners. If you are interested in helping, please contact our scholarship chair, Diane Beck.

Congratulations to our Scholarship Winners

Thanks to all who donated to the scholarship program including 2 corporate sponsors: Shell Oil and Clorox! We were able to award 2 scholarships this year. Congratulations to Laura Matloff and Olivia Isaac for being the 2009 Mt. Diablo SWE Scholarship recipients! These young ladies were well deserving and were chosen to receive the award among 18 applicants by a committee of SWE members. Both young women are from Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek. Laura will be attending MIT for bioengineering and Olivia will be going to Stanford to study civil engineering. Congratulations to these wonderful scholarship recipients! And thanks again to all the generous donors who give to this program every year!
