Keynote Speaker - Sohila Bemanian

Sustainable, Cost-Effective, and Long-Lasting Engineering Solutions
The challenge that we are faced with as professional engineers is to find engineering solutions which are cost-effective, long-lasting, and sustainable. Every corporate decision should consider the impact of the triple-bottom-line: economic, social, and environmental.

As women engineers and future mothers, we have the opportunity to truly make a difference in changing the culture of the way we do business. Through our engineering education, compassion and determination, we can progress and move forward while protecting the earth and still be cost effective.

Ms. Bemanian will address how the Nevada Department of Transportation was able to integrate cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and long-term pavement performance to achieve the No. 1 roads in the country.
